Originally from New Jersey, not known as a BBQ haven, I always enjoyed the aroma and taste of barbecued food while standing in the backyard surrounded by a variety of grills and smokers. Going through the motions of smoking meats and grilling is when I realized my passion for BBQ. The sizzle of the meat on the hot grates, the sound and smell of the crackling cherry, oak and hickory woods, and the dance of flames ignited an exhilarating sensation within me.
I found joy in the process, from carefully selecting the cuts of meat to patiently monitoring the temperature and tenderness of each dish. Every cookout became an opportunity for me to explore new flavors, and eagerly share my creations with family, friends, and now you all. It is a labor of love spending long hours smoking brisket, pork butts, and ribs, grilling cedar plank salmon and steaks. It is always hard for me to contain the excitement I have when seeing satisfied faces eat my food.
It is important to “feed the fire” when barbecuing, but little did I know BBQ would feed my fire and ignite my passion for all things smoked and grilled. The day has finally come where I can share my love for smoky goodness with a wider audience. The crackling fire and the intoxicating scent of charred meat had become my muse.
